Terms of Service

Horse Trade Market is an online classifieds marketplace that lets users list, browse and search horses, ponies, foals, tack and gear, trailers, equipment, equestrian property, services, stallions at stud, and related listings.

We are a venue, not a party to any sale. We do not own, sell, buy, inspect, or take possession of the horses or items listed. Any transaction is made directly between a buyer and a seller. We are not responsible for the accuracy of listings or for the conduct of users.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or post a listing. When you register, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

You may sign up with an email and password or through a third-party login such as Google. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

When you post a listing, you agree that:

• You have the right to sell or offer the item or service listed.
• Your listing is accurate, honest, and not misleading — including descriptions, photos, price, and the animal's health and history.
• Your photos are your own or you have permission to use them, and they genuinely represent what you are offering.
• You will comply with all laws that apply to selling horses or equestrian goods and services in your location.

You agree not to use Horse Trade Market to:

• Post false, fraudulent, misleading, or scam listings.
• List animals or items you do not own or have no right to sell, or that are illegal to sell.
• Engage in animal cruelty or list animals in a way that breaches animal welfare laws.
• Harass, threaten, or defraud other users, or collect their data without consent.
• Post spam, malware, or content that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
• Attempt to disrupt, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.

We may remove any listing or content, and suspend or close any account, that we believe breaches these Terms — at our discretion.

Buyers and sellers deal with each other directly. We strongly encourage you to view a horse in person, arrange an independent veterinary check, confirm ownership and paperwork, and follow our safety tips before any money changes hands. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of anything sold through the Service, nor for any payment made between users.

Browsing and a set number of listings are free. We also offer optional paid upgrades — for example, featuring a listing or extending how long it stays live. Prices are shown before you pay.

Payments for these upgrades are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card details. Paid upgrades are generally non-refundable once the benefit has started, except where required by law. These fees relate only to promoting your listing — we never process payment for the sale of a horse or item between users.

You keep ownership of the listings, text and photos you post. By posting them, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, resize and share that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. You can remove your listings at any time, though cached or backup copies may persist for a period.

The Horse Trade Market name, logo, design and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reuse them without our written permission.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that listings are accurate, that sellers or buyers are who they say they are, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Any dealings you have with other users are at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Horse Trade Market is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from a transaction between users, reliance on a listing, or your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm us or other users.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Horse Trade Market is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction.
